Green economy offers large variety of job opportunities



MBA Renewables qualifies highly skilled professionals to strengthen the sustainability business. The next course starting in October 2013 is now open again for applications.
Berlin, 13.05.2013 – While more and more countries increase the share of renewable energies in their total energy mix, they also face the challenge of an always higher pressure to reduce costs of technologies and applications. For companies it gets therefore more important to apply efficient management strategies and develop innovative business models. This leads to an increased demand of highly qualified personnel with management skills and know-how of renewable technologies. The sector offers excellent job opportunities not only for engineers, but also for graduates of economics, law, political science, natural science and other disciplines.
MBA Renewables, the only Master of Business Administration with a focus on renewable energies, which can be studied online, offers a broad mix of qualifications needed in management of renewable energy companies. It focuses on passing on the German experience to an international audience. MBA Renewables is directed towards international students. Since its start in 2011, students from all five continents and 30 different countries have registered. They study online and on a part-time basis alongside their jobs. To facilitate the exchange of experiences beyond online forums and virtual group-work, part of the course is an on-campus time of two weeks in Germany after the first study semester.
The study programme is offered by the Berlin based Beuth University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with Renewables Academy (RENAC).

Master Program International Business Consulting at University of Applied Sciences Offenburg, Germany
The MBA "International Business Consulting” (IBC) is a compact, hands-on, international program preparing you in 15 months for a leading position in In-house Consulting as well as in External Consulting.
Responding to the need for qualified consultants and recognizing the tendency that more and more managers are being confronted with consultancy tasks in their daily work, the IBC program was established at the University of Applied Sciences of Offenburg in the year 1999.
Interactive teaching, class discussion and case studies are an important part of the seminars. The faculty is comprised of experienced University professors and German, British and American external guest lecturers from companies and consulting agencies, such as Bosch, Dow and Ernst & Young.
The first two semesters are purely seminar based. In the third semester students will prepare the Master Thesis, usually as an in-company project.

"International Media Studies" - Master's Program

The International Media Studies Master’s Program is a four-semester, full-time program for further education. It combines topics like media and development, journalism, communication science and media economics.
It is a joint project from the University of Bonn, the Bonn Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences and Deutsche Welle, Germany’s international broadcaster with its headquarters in Bonn. First online MBA programme worldwide with focus on Renewable Energy
In October 2011 the Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin, in cooperation with the Renewables Academy AG (RENAC), will start a new Master of Business Administration (MBA). The "MBA Renewables” will be the first distance learning programme worldwide with the opportunity to obtain a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on renewable energy and energy efficiency.
The MBA Renewables has been developed for professionals who are aiming at a management position in the worldwide booming renewable energy markets. The programme covers economic, technical, legal, political and organizational knowledge, tailored to the specific needs of the renewable energy branches.
Solving complex business tasks along the value chain of renewable energies and imparting advanced interdisciplinary management skills will be an important part of the programme. It will also provide an overview of various renewable energy technologies, their applications and advantages. Other important aspects are the understanding of international policies for renewable energy, the complexity of renewable energy markets and business development.
The Master programme is designed to suit people who would like to study online on a part-time basis, i.e. alongside their jobs. They will benefit from an innovative blended-learning approach: the modules will be taught in a mix of self-study, online lectures, tutorials, virtual interactions, group work and international networking, a voluntary practical training in Berlin and exchange of experience with fellow students from many countries.
About RENAC: RENAC is an international provider of trainings on renewable energies. The Berlin-based company offers open seminars, customer-specific trainings and educational services. MBA Renewables is the second Master programme RENAC offers in cooperation with a public university.

International Master's degree program "Urban Agglomerations" at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences

Each year in October the international Master Course "Urban Agglomerations” begins at Fachhochschule Frankfurt am Main – University of Applied Sciences. It is completely taught in English and runs over four semesters, leading to the internationally recognized "Master of Science (M.Sc.)” and opening the possibility of subsequent doctorate studies.
It is based on an interdisciplinary and international orientation, addressing graduates with a first academic degree in architecture, civil engineering, urban, regional, landscape or environmental planning, geo-informatics, or other planning-related disciplines as well as some professional experience.
In its specific aims, the course is primarily practically oriented, training and qualifying for a professional career and responsible position in the public, semi-public or private sector, such as urban and regional administration and local authorities. The overall conception is based on an integrated international orientation and aims to approach and solve complex urban problems of metropolitan and regional networks and agglomerations.
Application deadline is April 15th (September 15th for german applicants). The application has to be submitted to:
