"Pre-Study Fulda" is a special introductory semester for international applicants to Fulda University of Applied Sciences. "Pre-Study Fulda" provides advanced preparation for students from abroad who want to "warm up” for their future studies in Fulda. It provides a solid basis for students to build upon in order to complete their regular degree programme more quickly and more successfully.

International Business and Intercultural Management
Todays’ business environment has become highly complex, dynamic and globalised. At the same time there is a paradigm shift in doing business. From Global Corporate Leaders to small business start-ups there is a rising in consciousness for more corporate responsibility. What this new business environment needs are managers with intercultural competencies, new leadership capabilities and awareness for sustainability issues. And this is exactly what the MA International Business & Intercultural Management offers prospective students. It is a multi-disciplinary Master Programme that has been developed by the university’s business faculties in close consultation with business and industry in response to a challenging and rapidly developing organisational environment.
The MA International Business & Intercultural Management is fully instructed in English and qualifies first-degree graduates for management positions in globally operating organisations. With a focus on sustainable practices, it teaches relevant managerial and analytical skills as well as multi-disciplinary knowledge that equips graduates for strategic management positions in departments such as marketing and finance, as well as for leadership functions in international projects. Potential employers include globally operating companies, NGOs, international organisations and the public sector. Additionally, the programme entitles graduates to pursue further academic studies such as a PhD programme.

First online MBA programme worldwide with focus on Renewable Energy
In October 2011 the Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin, in cooperation with the Renewables Academy AG (RENAC), will start a new Master of Business Administration (MBA). The "MBA Renewables” will be the first distance learning programme worldwide with the opportunity to obtain a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on renewable energy and energy efficiency.
The MBA Renewables has been developed for professionals who are aiming at a management position in the worldwide booming renewable energy markets. The programme covers economic, technical, legal, political and organizational knowledge, tailored to the specific needs of the renewable energy branches.
Solving complex business tasks along the value chain of renewable energies and imparting advanced interdisciplinary management skills will be an important part of the programme. It will also provide an overview of various renewable energy technologies, their applications and advantages. Other important aspects are the understanding of international policies for renewable energy, the complexity of renewable energy markets and business development.
The Master programme is designed to suit people who would like to study online on a part-time basis, i.e. alongside their jobs. They will benefit from an innovative blended-learning approach: the modules will be taught in a mix of self-study, online lectures, tutorials, virtual interactions, group work and international networking, a voluntary practical training in Berlin and exchange of experience with fellow students from many countries.
About RENAC: RENAC is an international provider of trainings on renewable energies. The Berlin-based company offers open seminars, customer-specific trainings and educational services. MBA Renewables is the second Master programme RENAC offers in cooperation with a public university.
