Economics of the Middle East (EMEA) is a new Master’s programme jointly offered with the Lebanese American University. It was designed reflecting our experience with the successful Master's programme 'Economic Change in the Arab Region' (ECAR).
It is supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

"International Education Management (INEMA)” University of Education Ludwigsburg / Helwan University, Kairo

Start: July 2013
INEMA is designed with an interdisciplinary and integrative approach that is aimed at conveying general capabilities and knowledge in education management.
The purpose of the master programme is to develop and to provide managerial skills as well as competencies for cross-cultural challenges in education management. The programme is offered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Developement (BMZ).
Applications are open to participants from the following countries: Germany, Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Territories, Syria, Tunisia, and Yemen.
The INEMA-Programme is structured as a blended learning programme and conceptualized as an extra-occupational course that allows participants to continue with their assigned jobs.
Hence, the work experience has direct impact on the study course and vice versa, which keeps the programme up-to-date and practically relevant. Regular modules combined with cross-border modules ensure a holistic approach that ranges from personal coaching to cross-cultural encounters in Germany and the Arab world

"German-Arab Master's Programme in the Field Water Resources Management (IWRM)"
Cologne University of Applied Sciences / University of Jordan

This master’s course is designed with an interdisciplinary and integrative approach that goes beyond addressing problems related to engineering, economic and environmental policy issues.
Applications are open to participants from the following countries: Germany, Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Territories, Syria, Tunisia and Yemen.
The target group of this master programme are young professionals active in water-related fields, with some practical work experience (2 years if possible).

"Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency for the MENA Region (REMENA)" University of Kassel / Cairo University

This master’s course is designed with an interdisciplinary and integrative approach that goes beyond addressing problems related to the natural and environmental sciences. The economic, ecological and regulatory policy di-mensions of the energy sector (e.g., national and international energy and climate policies, energy management legislation, etc.) are reflected in the curriculum along with the socio-cultural aspects.
