Study Trips / Seminars for Groups of Foreign Students to Germany

 Study Visit

The German Academic Exchange Service funds Study Visits / Study Seminars and Practicals in Germany by groups of foreign students (10 – 15 students) headed by a university teacher. The funding of each trip is available for duration from 7 to 12 days maximum (including travel days); however the stay may last longer.

The deadline for application:
  • 01 February for trips to begin at the 01.06. (DAAD decision made at the midst of April)
  • 01 May for trips to begin at the 01.09. (DAAD decision made at the midst of July)
  • 01 November for trips to begin at the 01.03. (DAAD decision made at the midst of January)

The application form should be submitted online via the DAAD Portal: https://portal.daad.de/irj/portal

N.B. The application form is available in English and German language. In case you are going to fill in the application form in English, we urge you to select the language during the registration on the DAAD portal.

The Sawiris Foundation for Social Development and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offer fulltime scholarships for studies in Germany for current graduates from the German Schools in Egypt

What we offer:

  • Open to all study courses
  • Possible to study either at a University, Fachhochschule, Kunst- or Musikakademie
  • Scholarships are granted for up to five years, subject to study performance
  • Every scholar receives 650 Euro monthly as well as health insurance and an allowance to cover the travel costs

Requirements:

  • Be an Egyptian national
  • Be a current graduate from one of the German Schools in Egypt (DEO, DSB Alexandria, DSB Cairo, Europaschule)
  • Reach a grade point average of 1.5 or better
  • Be interested in other cultures and be socially committed
