We offer several special rate accomodation possiblities for our guests in Cairo.

Guestroom
The DAAD office is located in the center of Zamalek, approximately 5 minutes within walking distance from the German embassy and about 15 minutes taxi drive to Cairo University and Tahrir square.
On the large estate - which is the former GDR embassy residence - there is a big exhibition hall, a room for meetings and a guest room. The guest room is preferably rented to German scientists, but is in case of free capacities of course also available for other guests.
The renewed old building room is comfortably furnished. Bathroom and kitchen are shared with other guests. The name of the room still refers to the GDR period.
