Dr. Christian Hülshörster
..is the director of the DAAD Cairo office. Apart from coordinating the program and administrative work, his main concern is the relationship with Egyptian universities and research centres. Furthermore, Dr. Hülshörster represents the DAAD in Egyptian science and politics.

Mona Ayoub
..is deputy manager at the DAAD office Cairo. As of January 2006 she took over the tasks of Mrs. Aziza Hamdi. Mrs. Ayoub coordinates long-term scholarship programs for Egyptians. She is the contact person for accreditation issues and special scholarship programs (for ex. BMTF, Unistaff, Witzenhausen, IFA ). Besides, Mona Ayoub is responsible for the coordination with German and Egyptian program supporting institutions and DAAD partners in universities and research institutions and is the contact person for DIES applications.

Deborah Dombret
..coordinates the programs for German students and scientists (Wafedin-scholarships), as well as language programs for Germans and the sur-place scholarships for refugees. In addition to that, she is the contact person for "short-term assignments for lecturers", the Translation courses in Germersheim and other University summer courses, "Professors' Exchange Visits for Germans" and group travels for students of German universities. Besides, Deborah Dombret is the contact person for BMZ programs, Alumni programs and the Hochschuldialog.

Noha Shahien
..is DAAD Program Coordinator who is in charge for several DAAD Programs which are Postgraduate Courses for Professionals with Relevance to Developing Countries, Re-Invitation for DAAD Alumni, Third Countries Scholarships (in particular Yemen). Moreover, Mrs. Shahien handles the Alumni Programs, the DAAD Alumni Database and all matters concerned with DAAD Alumni.
In addition, she is in charge with the rest of DAAD Program Coordinators for the counseling sessions at DAAD office concerning studying and research in Germany.

Angelika Sadek
..is responsible for the office's accounting, book-keeping and financial planning. Mrs. Sadek is working part-time and can be contacted during mornings.

Mahmoud Hamed
..is responsible for technical and logistical concerns in the DAAD office. He is the contact person for Egyptian authorities, hotels and suppliers. Besides, Mr. Hamed is supervising the cleaning and security staff.

Heba Ahmed
..is working as a program coordinator in the Cairo office. She is also responsible for administrative issues such as data entries and is concerned with event bookings and travel filing.

Bianca Nosek
…is working as a program coordinator in the Cairo office. She is in charge of the German-Egyptian Research Fund as well as of scholarship programs for graduates from the German Schools in Egypt. Furthermore she organizes activities in the framework of the DAAD Alumni Academy and is responsible for follow-up events of the Alumniportal Deutschland.

Anne Wildfeuer
..works as a DAAD-lector at the Faculty of Education at Ain Shams University since March 2008. She studied German as a Foreign Language, Sinology and Intercultural Business Communication at the Universities of Leipzig and Jena. She wrote her masters thesis in the field of didactics and methodology. Ms. Wildfeuer also worked as a language assistant at the Heluan – University. Her current teaching and research fields are the literature of the 18th and 19th century, didactics and cultural studies .

Heba Afifi

..is working as a program coordinator in the Cairo office. She is the contact person of the scholarship programs GERSS and GESP and therefore responsible for their mentoring and organization. Furthermore, she is in charge of certain study and research opportunities in Germany. In addition, she assists in the planning, coordination and organization of events.

Aziza Hamdi
..was consultant for Egyptian students, lecturers and professors for all DAAD programs. Besides she kept in touch with the DAAD partners in universities and research institutions. After 40 years in the DAAD office in Cairo, Mrs. Aziza Hamdi officially retired in December 2005, but she will continue working occasionally on special program assignments.
