FINALLY THE DAAD IS CELEBRATING ITS 50th ANNIVERSARY
For the last 50 years, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has been supporting scientific and academic exchange between Egypt and Germany . In addition to the support granted to thousands of scholarship holders over the years, the DAAD has been active in quite a number of additional fields – from the promotion of German language / German studies to the improvement of higher education management anresearch funding.

GERL Results available!
Kindly be informed that the GERL Final Result for the academic year 2010 / 2011 has been announced, accordingly you are kindly asked to check your account in order to know your result. Please confirm your attendance to the information session GERL through the website if you are among the accepted candidates.
Kindly note that the DAAD Cairo Office is closed to the public on Sunday 28.2.2010 and 1.3.2010 Monday, however reachable over the phone only. In case you need to discuss matters in regard to your result, this will be by appointment only.
Accepted applicants will be notified about the dates of their language courses which are defined by the DAAD Cairo Office according to availability and location of the home institutions of the scholarship holders. The DAAD Cairo Office will issue relevant letters addressing the home institutions of the accepted candidates to facilitate the formalities and the needed vacations. You will be notified in writing about the pickup date of such letters.
All accepted candidates with some knowledge of German language will have to attend a placement test at Goethe Institute in Cairo, details will follow by email.
